Where do I donate materials?

The donation site for Up-Stitch is at the Albany Art Room ONLY 
350 New Scotland Ave. Albany, NY 12208
Hours: Mon-Thurs 4-6pm, Sat 10am-4pm, Sun 10am-1pm

Donation Guidelines

  • You must be able to unload your own donations from your car. Help will NOT be available.

  • All donations must be checked in with an Albany Art Room or Up-Stitch employee during business hours.

  • If your donation is larger than 1 or 2 bags please CALL ahead at (518) 618-2825 to arrange a meeting.

  • Please write your zip code on the outside of your donation boxes or bags when you leave them.

  • If you would like a tax letter please ask for one in person when you donate, or email us at info.upstitch@gmail.com.

Donation Materials

We are accepting donations of all kinds:

  • Fabric of all types: non-cotton fabric LARGER than 1 yard.

  • Patterns - uncut only

  • Notions and tools including pins, scissors, buttons, elastic, thread

  • Buckles, zippers and fasteners

  • Yarn of all types and quantities

  • Trims, ribbon, lace

  • Knitting needles, crochet hooks and knitting/crochet accessories

  • Sewing & Knitting books - NO magazines

NO tablecloths or cushion covers.
NO clothing.

Please NO mildew, pet or mothball odors and NO toxins on the materials, must be from a SMOKE FREE home. 

If you have other items you think might be related ask an Albany Art Room or Up-Stitch employee.
